Financial Insurance Coverage


  • Life Insurance: Insurance that pays out a sum of money either on death of the insured or after an indicated period of time.
  • Individual Health Insurance: Insurance that covers medical expenses of an individual insured 
  • Group Health Insurance: A health plan that provides health coverage to employees, former employees, and their families, and is supported by an employer or employee organization.
  • Long Term Care Insurance: Coverage that, under specified conditions, provides skilled nursing, intermediate care, or custodial care for a patient (generally over age 65) in a nursing facility or his or her residence following an injury.
  • Medicare Supplements: (Medicare supplement) Medigap (Medicare Supplement) refers to various private supplemental health insurance plans sold to Medicare beneficiaries in the United States that provide coverage for medical expenses not or only partially covered by Medicare.
  • Prescription Drug Plans: Plans offered by private companies that provide Medicare Prescription Drug Coverage (also known as Part D). Plans differ in monthly premiums, drug covered, and cost sharing amounts and in their networks of participating pharmacies. 
  • Medicare Advantage Plans: A plan offered by a private insurance company that contracts with Medicare to provide you with all your Medicare Part A and Part B benefits. If you are enrolled in a Medicare Advantage Plan, Medicare services are covered through the plan, and are not paid for under Original Medicare.
  • IRA & 401(k) Investments: A retirement savings plan that is funded by employee contributions and (often) matching contributions from the employer.
